Maya Kawakami - Before Testing
Today, my group and I tested our car we made on Monday, and saw that it went .6 m/s down the ramp which we measured 2.43 meters. Though we thought it was fast, we then compared results with other cars and saw that we were less than half their speed and distance. This gave us the idea to take out the "swing" in our car, and we were able to use the EDP to go back and rebuild our car with the same base. Though we have not tested our car yet, we have noticed that it will probably go faster and farther than our previous cars.

What is the "swing" in your car? What is its purpose? I like how you looked at your car objectively, and figured out where the problem might be. Then you continued to test it and make predictions. Great job!

The swing in our car (or previously in our car) was the smaller wheel supplied for us hung with hanging pieces held together by the grey pieces. This was able to swing 360 degrees, but hadn't yet on its own. The swing's purpose was to increase weight, as well adding some details just for looks (To Jillian)

I like the detail you described your car in, and how you provided measurements of the distance and speed. Good job, it sounds like your car will have great success in the race.

I like how much detail you used in your description and how you found what was not working well for your car and found a way to fix it.
